WWJAPAN cloud(Statistical Database of Winds and Waves Around Japan)
This database contains the results of NMRI’s statistical analysis of significant wave height and period, peak wave direction, and mean wind speed and direction based on the numerical weather prediction of the 10 years from February 1994 to January 2004.

Outline
WWJAPAN cloud (The Statistical Database of Winds and Waves Around Japan) shows the statistical results of winds and waves around Japan, which are analyzed by NMRI. The statistical data are based on the numerical weather prediction of 10 years, from February 1994 to January 2004, calculated by Japan Weather Association and these are composed of significant height, significant period and peak direction of waves, and mean speed and direction of winds in 2 minutes interval in space and 12 hours interval in time.
The sea areas are divided into areas of 0.5 degrees in latitude and longitude, and the tables for every sea area can be used, and the period classification includes annual, seasonal, and monthly wave data. Frequency tables include 11 types*. A simplified version with intervals of 2 degrees in latitude and longitude is also available on the NMRI website.

The content of WWJAPAN cloud can be used as statistical data using the interface provided as a web application, as shown below. In addition, NMRI plans to provide statistical data through an API interface suitable for data analysis of users' big data.
